Hey Guys, Just so I understand this correctly, the 40k part is 5 games and both Saturday and Sunday. However, the Fantasy part is 3 games played on Saturday with a doubles tourney on Sunday.
Correct?

The Fantasy events are as follows:
Saturday: Team Tournament (1250 pts per player) No 1+ units required. TK may make the same character both Heirophant and general. Each team pays a $20 entry fee and objective based scenarios will be used. Normal score sheets will be used for this and I will have the packet posed for it some time this weekend.
Sunday: Warbands (750 pts) No characters required; a unit chamption may be declared as your general. No minimum unit sizes, so you could have three man knight units and the like. It will simply be four fast paced kill em all games, with the standard score sheets in use.
Prize support will be given for both events.
Also, we have a deal with the Double Tree hotel for people wishing to stay there. If you mention the Slaughter in Space, there is a room rate of $80 a night for that weekend.

(The Doubletree - is that the Doubletree Ontario Airport hotel (on Vineyard)? If so, you can get room at $76/night (Travelocity and Hotels.com), provided you're willing to go non-refundable.)
Where are out-of-town people staying, in general?
Should be a good time, folks - looking forward to it!

Regarding the warbands event at the Slaughter. I still have a few questions.
1. No more than 2 specials and NO rares...correct?
2. Are there a maximum number of characters (3 per Big Red Rule Book)?
3. Are specials that are 2 for 1, still 2 for 1 or do they become 1 per 1 (per the old warband rules by GW)?
4. What are the limitations on mounts for characters (if any)?
5. Are there a maximum number of units that can be fielded (per the old warband rules by GW)?
6. Any other special rules?
7. Also are the basic rules for Warbands (as published by GW) still going to be in effect regarding units (i.e. if less then min number may not include a command group or if at least at min can contain a command group, also regarding night goblin fanatics, etc.?).

The standard force org rules apply to a 750 point game. This means, 2 heros, 2 specials, and no rares. Units under minimum size are not allowed to take command models. Specials that are normally 2 for 1 are restricted to 1 for 1 for this tournament. There are no required units for any army and undead are exempt from crumbling.

What are the rule for the team events? 1. One general between the 2 or each player has his own? 2. BSB? 3. I am assuming each player does the normal break down for 1250.
Thanks Eric
